LAHU - USA helps build rabbit hutches, and trains community members to care for the rabbits.   Every part of the animal is used and nothing goes to waste- from the highly nutritious meat to the fur that is used to make clothing and products to sell at market.  

On our Fall 2014 trip to Uganda, we checked in with our Rabbit Project beneficiaries, one of whom is a young boy in Buddo who helps his mother care for the rabbits after school.  The family uses part of the extra income to pay for his school, and LAHU is in the process of adding more partitions in the hutch to separate males and females, allowing them to expand and grow.  You can see some photos of the Family and the project in action below:
